I also shared two additional favorite books as part of my holiday message to for the women:
Pussycat’s Christmas by Margaret Wise Brown: This is a book I purchased years ago from at checkout display at Burlington Coat Factory because of the gorgeous illustrations done by Anne Mortimer. You see, the little cat pictured throughout the book looks exactly like our little cat Sig who my daughter Mandy received as a Christmas gift in 1997. If you have kids or grandkids, you might want to get a copy for special holiday reading.
Something More – Excavating Your Authentic Self by Sarah Ban Breathnach. This book is a treasure of thoughts and ideas about nurturing yourself and living a life of meaning. There is no need to settle for anything less. I enjoy that this book is presented in short segments so that it can be read a little at a time. It has given me some ideas for the retreat in 2014 too.
While you are shopping for books, consider picking up a copy of The Artists Way by Julia Cameron too. It is one of the most powerful and helpful books I have encountered for opening up creative flow. I’ll be leading two new 7 week courses, both online/teleclass and a Saturday afternoon live group study which will integrate this book starting January 18. Learn more about the live class at http://tinyurl.com/mwbh84m and the teleclass at http://tinyurl.com/k5aq6yw
Have fun snuggling up with a great book this holiday season and know you might just be inspired to change your world as a result. Merry Christmas!
