Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year and something I celebrate only because the days start getting longer after today. I am a summer person, and this opposite season is a time of grieving – clearly my hardest season. It seems to get worse as I get older. I remind myself that darkness and cold are part of the cycle to help intensify my love for the sun, 6AM sunrise runs, my garden, flowers and the balmy long days of summer.
Today’s video is a little treatment sequence I recorded to help me thrive this time of year. Maybe it will help you warm your heart and stir your energy upward so that the shorter days will be highly productive and abundant for you.
I am grateful that my Creator gave me sunshine on Dec. 21, in spite of the 16 degree cold and high winds. The sun was a blessing and is always appreciated no matter what the season.
