For the past 3 days I have told myself I would wake up for the sunrise. Somehow that intention kept getting ignored as I looked at the clock, told myself I had a whole week to catch a sunrise and closed my eyes for just a few more minutes of sleep.
Today I finally kept this promise. The sun began to light up the horizon around 5:15 AM and fully emerged at 5:44. Gracie insisted on joining me, but she was slow and groggy when we walked up the path to the beach. She perked up when she saw that her dog-friend Leah was also up early. Athough it was somewhat overcast, the show was magnificent. In the distance you can even see a water spout forming within a stormy area.
