I’m back home again after a delightful week by the lake. Part of it was business, but most was about relaxing and enjoying the beauty of nature and the kind people who fill this place. During the week I walked over 50 miles, celebrated my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary, played miniature golf with my neice and nephew, rode a bike, ran, learned to use my iPod (finally!!!), hosted the Indigo Connection group for the Tour of Homes, made jewelry and sat in the 2nd row for the Jim Brickman concert. Visiting Lakeside is always like stepping back in time. I feel like a kid here and I sleep like a rock after each full day of relaxed living. If you are ever in the Sandusky region, it is well worth checking out (www.lakesideohio.com)
I was inspired to write the poem below as I sat by the Lake on Wednesday July 25, 2007:
Waves of Connection
I am here – planted firmly
Now is my moment
All agreements accepted
My soles draw strength from earth
Infusing my spirit with a spiral wave
In stillness there is power
I am connected at all times to Light
Flowing through my crown – reaching my soul at my heart
The Alchemy of Heaven and Earth spins pure radiance
Every soul offers a signal – No two alike
We remember what touches our hearts
As the chorus of waves invites connection
