“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
Today is Good Friday, a day when we are aware of Jesus’ suffering. A day when Jesus’ followers lost hope and slipped into grief as they helplessly witnessed the crucifixion. We can all connect to the sadness of that human moment, yet know that many invisible things took place after the crucifixion to restore the faith that was lost. Life triumphed over death.
The quote above was given to me on a beautiful plaque by a grateful client several years ago. It hangs in my office today as a constant reminder that my life purpose, mission and my business are all about the invisible, unseen forces that enrich and shift our lives.
Reality exists in both visible and invisible form. We can’t necessarily see love or grief, but it truly exists all around us. Emotions and the energy they carry are strong enough to get our attention and make us pause to check in with the invisible world. Emotions of love, hope, joy and bliss are powerful projectors of energy. Those feelings are radiant and hard to miss. The signals of grief, despair, depression and hopelessness form tight and constricted energy fields around the one in pain. It is harder to pick up on these things because the signal is so weak. If anything, we simply feel that pull from a low energy person that comes when they drain our energy in an effort to replenish their own. It can happen deliberately, or it can happen unintentionally on their part. Either way it is their way of trying to heal their own pain.
Many of my friends, subscribers and colleagues know that I am in the midst of writing a new book titled Energy Makeover. I have been saying “no” to lots of things in order to make this book a priority. There is an invisible force telling me that I must do it NOW, as much as I don’t consider myself much of a writer and I worry that the world may not even want to read what I write. I do it anyway. That is perhaps what faith will inspire within a struggling soul.
Pay attention and minister to the silent pain that is around you today. Your awareness will guide you to serve in a way that fits who you are. For a little more inspiration, watch this excellent short video titled “Get Service” at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfeXxkbgCVE
