Each December, our Indigo Connection women’s networking breakfast program involves a holiday book exchange. Everyone brings a favorite book, wrapped beautifully and a story to tell about why that book was selected. The program allows each participant to not only give her 30 second business introduction, but also share something deeper about who she is and how reading inspires her. Every year this book exchange offers an opportuntity for us to know each other on a whole new level as we share what we love about the authors and the words which touched our hearts.

One thing I know for sure, the women who attend these breakfasts are some of the most intelligent I encounter. They are thirsty for wisdom and open to new thoughts. They choose their books carefully for this event. Some choose fiction, while others choose inspirational or practical business books. It is an honor to share the list as part of my blog each year. If you are looking for a new read or a holiday gift idea, perhaps this list will inspire you to action.
