Violet is guarding my new boot (on left) while the bones heal.

Today marks 5 weeks since the surgery and after celebrating the removal of my cast, new priorities have emerged for focus.   X-Rays taken last Friday raised concerns that my bones were not healing as well as might be expected. Up to that point, I had no idea my bones had been all cut up and screwed back together as part of the process. YIKES! No weight bearing for another month and I am disappointed about that.

My doctor ordered a vitamin D test that revealed a huge deficiency. A high potency 50,000 IU capsule has been added to my supplements along with attention to foods high in calcium, protein and minerals. I’m also taking a homeopathic called Symphytum Officinale recommended by Janet Levatin, MD for bone trauma. As a vocal advocate of Vitamin D for years, discovering I was so low at this critical stage of my healing was disheartening. Just another thing I must let go.

Taking time to address the non-physical part of my healing is a priority now. This means tapping to send energy deep into my bones, creating supportive frequencies for bone growth and allowing the gaps to fill so that my next x-ray will demonstrate readiness for physical therapy.

The EFT treatment for this situation involves beginning with setup statements that address my disappointment, the worries about delayed progress, the horror of having screws in there, and my limiting beliefs about post-menopausal bone health. This is a big order for EFT, but interestingly it is not emotional or difficult to get through many rounds of tapping on a wide variety of statements. I eventually talk to my bones as I tap. I tell them how much I love what they do and how they carry information, frequencies and memories.   We have so much more to create together. My bones and me begin creating great things together now and projecting specific events into the future. We accept the screws unconditionally. I play music that resonates nicely with my bones. A selenite crystal tucked into my boot brings the rhythms to my anklebone in a very pleasant way.   We are healing! Until the next x-ray, my bones and I will continue tapping and growing together.
